Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the TWW Warehouse Manager in supervising the inventory process and training TWW Material Handlers in receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping of tires and related materials and equipment. In addition, the TWW Working Supervisor would assist the Branch Manager in managing the warehouse during vacation time for Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

General Warehousing / Managing Work Flow

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]
  • Stores tires in assigned warehouse locations.
  • Selects and pulls tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to TWW bin locator system.
  • Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.
  • Operates order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties while ensuring safety guidelines are met.
  • Performs required counting and tallying on related inventory control documents.
  • Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
  • Ensures safety guidelines are met and enforced at all times.
  • Performs other miscellaneous warehouse-related and safety duties.
  • Maintain compliance with procedures and policies
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with training new Material Handlers.
  • Take a leadership role and assist Warehouse Manager with work flow, safety practice and provide feedback to improve Material Handler performance.
  • Resolves minor concerns/issues (non disciplinary in nature) and refers others to Warehouse Manager

  • Role and Impact
  • Customer Service = must ensure accurate orders are selected and sent to the appropriate customers. Our goal is to provide superior customer service and minimize customer concerns/issues.
  • Cost effectiveness = must ensure work is completed in a timely manner to minimize overtime costs. Must also ensure orders are accurate to prevent returns, customer delays and other cost factors such as time and manpower.
  • Team Environment = must ensure a healthy team environment of open communication and support among other teammates.Performance can be measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Quality Objectives and Inventory Reports. Performance Evaluations are required for this position.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  1. High School graduate or equivalent plus two year of general warehouse, logistics, or related experience. “or”
  2. One year minimum as TWW Material Handler or Inside Sales Representative (I or II)
  3. Must pass a Mobile Equipment Operation (MEO) Physical and MEO Operation Certification. (Subject to renewal every two years.)
  4. Possess good interpersonal skills, good computer skills and sustained level of superior job performance.

 

Physical Requirements: Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
